A burger brand built with passion
From a roadside restaurant in Harstad to a growing Norwegian burger brand. A story of family, food and the ambition to build something people remember.
Some restaurant concepts manage to create something special. House of Burger is one of them.
What started in Harstad in 2017 has grown into one of Northern Norway’s exciting burger concepts. Great food, quality ingredients, generous portions and a team that cares about every guest have helped the brand win loyal customers.
The idea began with a family business and an ambition to create something people would remember. The team saw an opportunity to turn an ordinary roadside restaurant into a destination customers would actively seek out.
They travelled across Norway, studied successful burger restaurants, explored what customers loved and developed their own vision for the perfect burger experience.
That dedication became the heart of House of Burger, with a strong identity, a loyal customer base and employees who take pride in the food they serve.
Behind much of that success is Thomas Tveter.

Meet Thomas Tveter, a driving force behind House of Burger
Thomas is the kind of restaurant leader whose enthusiasm is contagious. With years of experience in the industry, plenty of energy and a deep commitment to the business, he has dedicated himself to building House of Burger into the brand it is today.
He cares about the people around him, including his employees, his management team and, especially, his customers.
Thomas understands that running a successful restaurant chain means paying attention to every detail, from the quality of the food and the wellbeing of employees to the systems supporting the business.
He challenges established ways of working, explores new opportunities and keeps looking for ways to make House of Burger better. In 2022, those ambitions led him to ninito.
Three locations, big ambitions and a search for the right partner
When House of Burger first approached ninito in 2022, the company was operating three locations.
Thomas already had ambitious expansion plans. He wanted a restaurant chain that could grow quickly while maintaining the same quality, service and consistency at every location.
The company was already using a modern digital restaurant system. Online ordering and other digital services were part of its everyday business.
Thomas had spent time evaluating almost every relevant system provider in the market. He wanted a platform that could bring the restaurant business together, support employees, improve the customer experience and give the administration team better control as the company expanded.
After exploring the available options, House of Burger chose ninito. It was the beginning of a partnership that would follow the brand through an extraordinary period of growth.
Ambitious restaurant teams should expect an equally committed technology partner. Today, ninito backs Pro and Enterprise with a 100% value guarantee. If ninito does not create enough value to cover the system cost, the customer does not pay for it. For a chain planning its next chapter, that is a concrete promise to put alongside the features and the price.
The self-service revolution
One of the biggest changes came when House of Burger introduced ninito’s self-service ordering kiosks. For Thomas and the team, the results quickly became one of the highlights of the partnership.
Customers embraced the kiosks. Ordering became easier, guests could explore the menu at their own pace, and the system created new opportunities to increase sales. The performance surprised even Thomas.
The kiosks became an important part of the customer experience. They helped the business serve more guests while employees concentrated on preparing great food and delivering good service.
The results reinforced something Thomas had believed for years. The right technology could make a real difference to the restaurant experience.
Making every order easier
Self-service kiosks were only one part of the transformation. House of Burger also adopted ninito’s integrated online ordering platform, making it easy for customers to order their favourite burgers ahead of time.
Customers can browse the menu, place an order, pay online and receive a text message when their food is ready for collection.
That gives guests a convenient experience and restaurant employees a more predictable flow of orders.
Behind the scenes, ninito connects the ordering channels and brings together the tools the team needs to manage a growing business. Menu management, orders, reporting and administration work together in a system designed for several restaurants.
For Thomas and his management team, this has made it easier to maintain structure, introduce new locations and focus on the next stage of the company’s growth.
Four years of growth
House of Burger had three locations when the partnership with ninito began in 2022. By June 2026, the brand had announced its 14th location.

Including that announced location, the restaurant footprint had grown by 11 locations, approximately 367%, in around four years.
During the partnership, House of Burger has also reported an average sales increase of 35% while using ninito.
Behind those numbers are thousands of customers, committed employees, strong leadership and years of hard work. Thomas and his team have built a company with the confidence and structure to keep expanding.
ninito has been proud to support that journey with connected technology, easier administration, self-service ordering and the tools needed to manage a growing restaurant chain.
A partnership built for the future
Four years into the partnership in 2026, House of Burger remains a relationship we are especially proud of at ninito. There is something rewarding about seeing a family-built business grow into a recognised restaurant chain.
We have worked closely with Thomas and the team, listened to their ideas, understood their challenges and supported their ambitions as the company has expanded.
Their enthusiasm, attention to detail and dedication to customers make House of Burger a pleasure to work with.
The journey is far from over. With further expansion plans, an ambitious leadership team and a growing customer base, House of Burger has an exciting future ahead.
We are proud to be part of the story and look forward to what Thomas and his team build next. House of Burger builds great restaurants. We are proud to help them grow.
